Training & Instruction
This is standard weeks courses for all levels, with a blend of both classic and skating, or you decide which technique you wish to develop. 

Enjoy a typical Austrian Christmas in the snow and mountains, ski on Christmas Day, social night at Alm Family Bar.

Program
Each day, there will be two training/instruction blocks, classic and skate

The morning lesson
  • Working on technique
  • Building a solid grounding to progress fast
  • Video feedback
  • Correction drills
  • Fault finding

​Afternoon Program
  • In the afternoon we tend to ski again longer distances with a mix of technical coaching as we ski.

We tend to work on two days of classic or skating, then switch to whichever you wish to work on for the remainder of the week.
About Obertilliach
Obertilliach is a village in Austria's Osttirol, not far from the Italian border and 40 minutes from the popular skiing town of Dobbiaco. It has become a favourite training area for biathletes due to its snow record, and in recent years has developed some excellent tracks and a first rate shooting range, which has enabled it host IBU Cup biathlon races. Obertilliach is also renowned for its rustic charm, most of the houses are made from wood and there are some excellent cafes, hotels and an all-important bakery. The tracks are close to the accommodation and there is a wide range of skating and classic trails. Apart from the biathlon, Obertilliach hosts the classic version of the Dolomitenlauf ski marathon and is used by top cross-country skiers and biathletes for training.

Travel:
  • Suggested flights to and from Salzburg or Innsbruck.
  • It is suggested that you look at the first flight in and the last flight out, this will give plenty of time for the train or bus connections. 
  • Bus service from Innsbruck train station to Tassanbach. This service is a direct transfer in new modern coaches, with toilets, and with a with a travel time of 2.5 hours ​

Local Transfer
  • Transfer from Tassanbach to Obertililach, via local bus service or local taxi, transfer time 15 minutes
