Training & Instruction
The week will start with the fundamentals of classic and skating. Each day the lessons will be broken down into small and simple steps which produce a greater level of progress in classic and skating. The program for the week will be structured to each person's needs, and what they would like to improve on.

Race
On Saturday the 16th January, you have the opportunity to take part in
Pustertaler Ski Marathon, 62 km or 30km classic skiing on the Saturday, and a 40km skate race on Sunday, in some of the most amazing mountains of Italy. A small race in numbers, with about 1000 taking part. The race starts in the valley next to Dobbiaco, and winds around the upper valley area before heading into Dobbiaco and then onto Sexto and the finish.

On the Sunday a new skate race will be run over 40km.
  • A race that is not too challenging in the level of skiing required, just the distance, so a good level of fitness is required, with no short race option this is a good challenge of a race.
  • Distance options for the classic race
  • A good race for those who are looking at taking part in other long distance races later in the season.
  • Develop your double poling for the Vassalopet

A race that has a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere all the way along the course, with fantastic ski trails which are not to demanding.

Coaching
Each day there will be two training / instruction blocks, classic and skate
  • The morning lesson focuses on technical teaching, with emphasis on correcting faults, or working on the basics of learning to cross country ski, classic or skating.
  • The afternoon we tend to ski out on the trails, and work on one or two key elements as we ski, this produces faster learning progress, and gives you time to understand the methods that you have learnt in the morning.

We tend to work on two days of classic or skating, then switch to which ever you wish to work on for the remainder of the week.

In the evenings we have waxing talks, ski selection information and videos on training methods.

Skiers are not expected to attend all sessions, and are free to explore the trails.

Ski Hire
The local ski hire is able to offer top end 2022 / 2023  equipment for hire, and a great range of boots and skis for sale.
