The Venue
Obertilliach is situated in Southern Austria, close to the Italian border, in the beautiful Dolomites. It's a beautiful and historic village, whose buildings are constructed principally from wood. It is one of the country's main centres for biathlon & cross-country skiing.

The plan in brief
Our week here will incorporate first-class ski instruction in classic and skating techniques, many km's  of cross-country ski trails to explore. Develop all aspects of your skiing in both classic and skating. 

The coach
The week will be led by Alan Eason, one of the UK's leading cross-country ski instructors and a former British cross-country ski champion. Alan is the head instructor at Australia's largest cross-country ski resort, Lake Mountain, and has taken part in the FIS Cross-Country Ski World Championships and many ski marathons.

The standard
The week is aimed at both experienced skiers with good fitness, and beginners who are very fit and well prepared on roller skis. An interest in racing on snow is not essential, and if you have any doubts about the trip's suitability let us know, and we can advise.
​If you are preparing for other ski races later in the season, this will be an ideal week of training and will fit in well with roller ski training.

Ski Hire 
The local ski hire can offer top race equipment for hire and a great range of boots and skis for sale.

Travel:
Suggested flights to and from Innsbruck or Innsbruck.
It is suggested that you look at the first flight in and the last flight out, this will give plenty of time for the train or bus connections. 
  • Travel time is about 2.5 hours - 4 hours depending on connections and which airport.

Bus or train to Tassanbach (local service or taxi)
A direct bus service (960x) from Innsbruck train station to Tassanbach. This service is a direct transfer in new modern coaches, and with a cost of only €19.00, with a travel time of 2.5 hours

Travel Option Information From all major airports, it is recommended that you travel to Tassanbach, which is the closest town to Obertilliach, then via taxi or local bus to Obertilliach
