Training & Instruction The week will start with the fundamentals of telemark skiing. Each day the lessons will be broken down into small and simple steps which produce a greater level of progress, all building to developing good telemark turns on all terrain. The program for the week will be structured to each person's needs, and what they would like to improve on. Each day there will be two training / instruction blocks, classic and skate
For those who wish to learn more about how to move into telemark racing, we will be able to offer daily race course training with stubby gates and video work. In the evenings we have video feedback and waxing talks, ski selection information and videos on training methods. Skiers are not expected to attend all sessions, and are free to explore the mountain. For those who wish the area of Obertilliach has great ski touring opportunity, and depending on the snow conditions and the level of the group we will look at off piste instruction and a few short ski tours for those who wish. Sillian is able to offer a wide range of runs or all levels of skiers, with the option to use the local ski bus to visit a number of other resorts in the valley and the same lift ticket. |
